Annie Herron is an illustrator who is from Maryland. She likes to make simplistic whimsical moments in her illustrations. Annie tries to get an outside view into what is happening on the page with characters, creatures, and environments. Even though there is a softness and simplicity to her illustrations there is a sharp and complex quality by using dark line work. She has strong influence from vintage aesthetics, nature, fantasy and the macabre. A few influences that are in her art are Tolkien, Shirley Jackson, Edgar Allan Poe, and Edward Gorey.

She has graduated from Delaware College of Art and Design with an AFA with a focus in Illustration and Montserrat College of Art with a BFA in Illustration.
